The outdoor marijuana grower will have some weed care, at least during the time the plants are young and the first crop weeding will need to be done around three weeks after the plants have been in their crop location. Then about two weeks after this the grower will need to weed the marijuana crop again, and after this the plants will usually be large enough that weeds in the crop will not inhibit their growth.
Weeding the cannabis crop does not have to be an extremely difficult task in fact, the weeding that will need to be done is where weeds have grown near the seedlings, other weeds can quickly out grow the plants. This can make good camouflage for the outdoor cannabis crop as the weeds out grow the crop that not in the soil that surrounds the seedlings. When the crop is not weeded the weeds will take all the nutrition from the plants and at the same time choke the roots of the tender seedlings. This will result in either the cannabis plants dying off or in spindly stems and plants that have had their growth stunted.
The grower also needs to take care when weeding near the small seedlings as they can be damaged easily when trying to pull roots of weeds that are near them. The trick to weeding is to make sure that the weeds that are not near plants are left in the ground, because not only will they help to hide the small cannabis plants, but they will also help to shade and keep moisture in the ground for the plants.
