Unhealthy Marijuana Plants?
|
| |
Not every crop grows perfectly without problems and when this happens the grower needs answers fast to save the crop, whether it is indoors or outdoors marijuana crops. This can include problems like heat, over watering, and any number of other problems.
- Over Watering: to correct smaller plants that are suffering from being over watered the grower can use a solution that is able to help correct the problem known as H2O2. The other way to correct this problem is to change watering habits and only water when the first few inches of the soil in the pots are dry.
- Heat Stress: The ganja plant can suffer from heat stress more often in the indoor crop, and it can be seen in the plant on the edges of the leaves that will turn brown. This unlike other reasons the leave edges will turn brown will only be located on the tops of the plant where the leaves are closer to the light. To correct this move the lamps higher or move the plants.
- Nutrient Burn: Nutrient burn is another reason why the leaves of the cannabis plant may turn brown and it can also burn the buds. This is something that is most often seen in the hydroponic crop, or on plants that the fertilizing solution has been splashed on the leaves of plants under high pressure sodium lighting. What this means to the grower is that the marijuana plants have all the nutrients they need and extra. Too correct this, the grower should stop the nutrient solution and use it more sparingly and the problem will not continue affecting the plants.
- pH Level: All growers know the pH level is important for the ganja plants to grow properly, and when the pH level is too high or too low what can happen to the plants is the nutrients will become a form of salt that is un-dissolvable and this it toxic to the plants. The plants appearance can lead the grower to believe they need more nutrients and this will make the problem worse rather than better, by making the pH level in the soil even worse. There is also a risk of this problem with soil that has not been mixed properly and has what are known as hot spots in the soil. This is why pH testing is vitally important to the marijuana grower with an indoor crop, and even some outdoor crops.
