Timing The Crop Harvest

Properly harvesting a marijuana crop is just as important as how well the crop is tended while it is growing. This is because not harvesting the crop correctly can mean losing all of the pot the grower has been waiting for. When the right techniques are used it will ensure quality smokable marijuana, this means harvesting and curing the marijuana leaves and buds successfully.

The first thing the grower must do is to harvest when the plants are at the height of their maturity, this can be seen by using a magnifying glass to inspect the resin glands and trichome heads. As the cannabis plant matures, these glands that are filled with THC will turn from a clear color to a milk colored substance and then to an amber color. This is when the THC has reached the stage when it will have psychoactive capabilities and the pot plant has reached its full quality
