Harvesting The Marijuana Crop

When it is time to harvest weed plants and there are several ways to go about it, some growers prefer to pull the entire planet from the soil and then hanging the plant upside down for several days. Then there are indoor growers that prefer to remove the leaves while the plant is still in the pot. When it is this type of harvest the grower will have to cut the pointed that are sticking out of the buds. This is considered non-smokable, because it will make the smoker’s throat hurt and give the pot a sharp taste. When everything has been removed the plant should then be hung upside down in the dark, in well ventilated place and allowed to dry. The marijuana is ready to be smoked when the twigs break rather than bend, and it is important to allow the drying process to take place naturally. The use of heaters will cause drying to occur to quickly and the result will be pot that has a sharp taste.
