Getting Seeds For The Next Crop

The marijuana grower that has an interest in collecting seeds from their current crop for a future crop is able to do this by pollinating a few of the female’s buds in order to get seeds. This is done by collecting pollen from the male cannabis plant that has the potential to create quality fast growing healthy plants. This should also be a plant that has characteristics that enable it to resist mold, disease and pests.

To collect the pollen placing the plant on paper on the floor and leaving it for a few days the paper will have pollen that can be saved in film canisters or other tight sealing containers. Then to pollinate the desired amount of buds on the female plant using a paint brush, brush the pollen on the lower branches of the marijuana plant. The best way to collect the seeds that the grower has pollinated and to ensure they are mature is to leave those branches on the plant until they have died and dried naturally.
